Recent donations and collection Payot
The Swiss Puppet Museum presents its new temporary expositions:
Twice per year the museum puts a choice of its 5000 puppets into the spotlight. The collection is regularly growing due to donations. Private donors and retiring puppeteers chose the museum to conserve, restore, record in the inventory and exhibit their treisures.
The museum is able to exhibit fbetween 200 and 300 puppets, plus accessories.
One room will be dedicated to the collection Payot. These remarkably elegant puppets were purchased about 1975 by Jacqueline Payot (1945 - 2019) born Grangier, artist and late wife of the former editor Jean-Marc Payot in Lausanne, given to the museum by her daughter Anne.
Another room will be presenting the puppets of several donations of French puppets in the tradion of the "Guignol de Paris" owned by Jacques Harlaine and Ruth Beeler Richei who used to express their thoughts about spirituality.
